Scott Peterson is currently a PGA Class A Member with advanced level Certifications from the PGA in Teaching & Coaching, Player Development, Golf Operations, and General Management. Scott is an Army Veteran and has been in various leadership positions on different career paths over the last 25 years. He has been employed at Clustered Spires since 2012. His passion for Golf is very evident when you spend any time with him. Scott did not start playing golf until after he graduated from high school. He learned the game over the years by teaching himself. With lots of hard work and determination he rose to the level of PGA Golf Professional.
Scott has been teaching and coaching golf for 12 years and has a unique philosophy when engaging with his students. His teaching philosophy is built around each student’s individual needs and goals, while keeping instruction simple and easy to apply so progress feels natural and facilitates lasting improvement. He teaches the whole game of golf to include short game techniques, full swing mechanics, course management, as well as mental performance. He is widely known for his ability to be dedicated and highly creative in finding effective ways to help his students improve with clear communication and, by designing purposeful drills that deliver results without requiring an overwhelming amount of time on the range, all while keeping the learning process fun and enjoyable.
